The 7th annual Pristine Riders Trash Crush community cleanup and environmental stewardship event will be taking place at 10 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026, beginning at North Star Nature Preserve’s South Gate parking lot. The event is a joint effort between Aspen-based Sun Dog Athletics and Pristine Riders, a local non-profit focused on keeping roadways and bike paths around the Aspen area litter free. The two-hour litter cleanup will be targeting a significant number of roadways and trails around the Aspen area, including Highway 82, Castle Creek and Maroon Creek roads, the East of Aspen trail and more.
Why Join Us?
Community-Powered Impact
Every rider's small action adds up, making a visible difference in the places we love. Together, our cycling community transforms mountain roads and trails into cleaner, safer, and more beautiful spaces to enjoy and protect. Your ride matters.
Inclusive & Easy Participation
There's room for everyone here. You don't need to buy anything, join a club, or attend a meeting. All it takes is the decision to pick up that one piece of trash - on any ride, anywhere. This is community service at its simplest and most welcoming.
Recognition & Rewards
Volunteers are celebrated with Pristine Riders jerseys and community gratitude. These jerseys aren't bought - they are earned as badges of environmental stewardship and visible proof that together we're keeping our roads and valleys clean.
